Western New England University is located in Springfield, Massachusetts, a small city about two hours from Boston and only 30 minutes from the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Undergraduate programs at Western New England University are offered through the Arts and Sciences, Business and Engineering departments. There is also a Pre-Pharmacy major from which many students move into the graduate Pharmaceutical Sciences program, one of Western New England College’s strongest. Other graduate degrees are awarded in Law, Engineering and Business. Since Western New England is a small school, students have the chance to get to know one another through the numerous on-campus events. Traditional festivals are a big part of student life and include a Music Fest, and fall, winter and spring festivals. There are also performing arts groups, including a drama club, choir, and a school newspaper and other literary publications. There are also weekly campus parties and field trips throughout the Northeast. While students applying to the graduate programs will have to meet department-specific requirements, all undergraduate applicants submit the same materials, such as transcripts and an essay, regardless of their preferred major. Students may also apply for scholarships and other forms of financial aid to help with tuition costs.
