Overview
Wolf is seeking a Transaction Advisory Services Director to join our growing and well-established firm. Wolf & Company is a leading national accounting and advisory firm with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service to upper middle-market businesses. Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team supports clients through the lifecycle of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions; of fering deep expertise in financial due diligence, tax structuring, and deal advisory.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to drive our Transaction Advisory Services practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong technical expertise, and passion for advising clients through complex transactions. This role will be responsible for driving growth, managing client relationships, leading engagements, and developing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Practice Leadership & Growth
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the TAS practice across core Firm niches
- Identify market opportunities and lead business development efforts, including proposal development and client presentations
- Collaborate with other service lines (e.g., Tax, Assurance, Information Technology and Data Solutions) to deliver integrated solutions
- Establish and monitor KPIs for engagement profitability, client satisfaction, team utilization, and cross-sell service line collaboration
- Client Advisory & Engagement Management
- Lead buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements, including quality of earnings, working capital analysis, and financial modeling
- Provide expert guidance on deal structuring, purchase price adjustments and deal terms
- Maintain and grow relationships with private equity firms, business clients, and strategic partner
- Team Development & Oversight
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of TAS professionals
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to professional standards
Qualifications
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in transaction advisory, investment banking, or corporate M&A with deep expertise in financial due diligence
- Proven track record of leading complex engagements and managing client relationships
- Deep understanding of middle-market dynamics, industry-specific transaction issues, US GAAP, financial modeling, and deal mechanics
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills

The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $220,000.
Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. In addition to base pay, you may be eligible to participate in our performance-based incentive compensation or sales commission plans.
