Pharmacy Laboratories Director
Western New England University is seeking a Pharmacy Laboratories Director to maintain and prepare the laboratories for the teaching and research needs of the professional Pharm.D. program and graduate programs as determined in conjunction with the Chair of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences. Responsibilities will include the compounding/pharmaceutics laboratory, analytical, dispensing, sterile products, professional pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical engineering, and research laboratories. To ensure students and faculty are up to date with required safety training and work with the safety committee to ensure laboratories are in compliance with regulations. To maintain laboratory supplies and order as needed for the laboratory courses, thesis research projects and assist with ordering for faculty research projects. To assist with the implementation of laboratory courses, including delivery, grading, proctoring and posting of material where appropriate Areas of expertise may include, but are not limited to Pharmaceutical Sciences, regulatory affairs, laboratory safety, biology, chemistry or related areas.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate bachelor/master degrees in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, cell/molecular biology or related disciplines.
- Extremely effective oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, with self-discipline to work independently. Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Competencies in management of resources; business and organizational skills; communication and team building.
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, sensitivity to others, willingness to take on new challenges, and an open and appropriately assertive manner.
